I’m about two weeks into my break in and my OT pros have been getting more comfortable by the day. The one area that is still uncomfortable is where my steel tow starts right above my toes, it’s rubbing on the top of my toe at the crease.. it’s been getting better though. I’m a millwright at a mining facility, large rock and mud in the quarry, thick dust and granules in our mill and concrete/paint pigment in the colorplant. 8-16 hours a day. The boots i used to buy were thorogood and i wore them for years and would get about 1.5 years out of them a few years ago, The last three thorogoods i’ve gotten have started delaminating and pulling apart in under a year, and last pair i got lasted 3 months until the sole pulled off… a couple coworkers have tired the JK boots and i was skeptical at first because of the price point but i watched a ton of there youtube videos and finally decided to pull the trigger on a pair.. If i can get over 1.5 years before a rebuild then they will definitely be worth the price for me.. I’m going to write another review after they’re completely broke in but as of now i am very happy with the quality and feel of my new boots. Also they’re customer service is great and they email me back working 1 day..

These are the best boots I have ever bought. Only place I have found that actually make a boot wide enough for my feet. They broke in very fast no issue with hot spots or blisters during break in. I have been a loyal fan of Danner boots for decades I was in the military for 20 years and thought Danner was the best boot till I tried these. I can gladly say I am never going back. Some people might get sticker shocked at price, but you can hang a price on comfy feet and a boot that will last. I work as an industrial woodchipper technician, so I am on my feet 12-18 hours a day in wood yards, concrete and steel grated floors. Up until now most day my back and knees were killing me by 12 hors now I have been in my boots for 18 hours or more and still comfy and that's without any special insole like I used to use. So, if you're looking to try something new on your feet, I would highly recommend these boots you won't regret the choice.

The OT Pro boot has certainly shown me how tough it is. After 6 months I can say this is a very tough boot. I was concerned with how the toe would last with a composite toe and it still has not broken the leather. I’ve regularly put 60-84 hour weeks on these boots and they’ve stood up to the challenge. I would say its toughness is its greatest attribute and it is decently comfortable. I do have a problem with hot spots on my pinky toes when I’ve been walking a lot during a day and the boots lost their waterproof within around a month of wearing them. There was a small break in period of around a week and I had an issue with lace bite. But after they were broken in the lace bite went away. Overall they have stood up to heat, sparks, uneven terrain, and dusty dirty environments very well. Looking forward to purchasing a 2nd pair and rebuilding these. I would likely buy a size wider boot next time

I have worn all of the PNW brands, including Danner. I have always ended up selling on Ebay due to them not fitting after bread in. These O.T.s are amazing, I was skeptical at first, but followed the fitting process. They are spot on width wise. I did have to return my first pair and go another half size down.
The Bison is incredible and required a minimum of break in. I will be buying more.

These boots absolutely carry the best in class build quality out of likely any boot on the planet. However, there is one possibly fatal design choice that makes them a hard to get along with. The sizing is wonky for certain. As long as you can sort your way through JK's needlessly odd sizing you will be good there. There is a rather serious flaw right under the tongue. There is a thick piece of leather that absolutely chews up the top of your foot. I have been wearing them for 2 weeks now and it does not seem to be getting any better. At the end of everyday there is a painful mark that they leave. You would think the spot where your foot is most sensitive would be the most carefully designed. It is not at all smooth at this spot and then oddly comes to a hump/point making this issue even worse. Even when putting the boot on you can feel this thing push into and srape along the top of your foot while they slide on. This issue has nothing at all to do with build quality but design itself. I will continue to try and wear them in but this leather lump on the top of the foot may be the straw that breaks this camels back and ends up putting these boots under the bed.
