“Love at First Try“
★★★★★"This was my second attempt at building my go-to daily pair of boots at JK Boots.
The first attempt was made taking advantage of the sales/coupon to purchase a pair of 300 with good discount - it just seemed like a wonderful deal. But when I received the boots they were 1/2 size too large and I wasn't happy with how the composite toe looked right out of the box - although I could immediately tell how insanely comfortable those boots would have been if they were the right size.
I returned the pair of 300 to JK Boots and after spending some time researching, I decided to up the game by using the store credit from the return to place an order for a pair of Forefront Bisons instead, because I was very happy with the customer service and level of comfort from the 300s.
It took pretty much exactly what they told me how long it'd take to receive the new pair and man I'm absolutely loving them. SO comfortable straight out of the box (when it comes to work-style boots, you know what I mean), amazing arch support, and I'm perfectly happy with how they look/feel on my feet.
The ONLY feedback I may have for JK Boots is to pay a little more attention with the stitching patterns, the square stitching around the pull loops are a little off level and the parallel stitches that go from around the upper all the way to the bottom are too close to each other on the bottom. Absolutely zero concerns when it comes to functionality and the stitches on the bottom are not even visible to people 99% of the time of course, which is why I'm giving this experience 5 stars. Just a small feedback because I wish JK Boots to become as close to being perfect as possible. :-)"
“Amazing boots.“
★★★★★"I wanted to wait at least 2 weeks before wiring this. What an amazing pair of boots, I am not really sure what others suggest as a break in period. But if you come from wearing boots for 10 plus hours a day and get into these I wouldn't say there was any break in period. I would imagine they will be come more soft overtime but I am not sure how that is possible for a slipper! In all seriousness I came from Thorogoods which went downhill over the past three years, wish I pulled the trigger on these earlier. If these last one full year they will be cheaper than the 2 pairs I need of Thorogoods for the year. Longevity is the uncertain for now but I am expecting no problems for a while. Just trying to figure out which one of their boots I am buying for going out! "

★★★★★"ok after wearing these things for a few weeks I have to say that they are truly comfortable and have molded to my foot very nicely. I was worried there for a bit that they would be a little to small but I think I'm good now. jk has seemed to have changed there sizing scheme after I purchased, so I went through there new fit sheet and it seems that the ones I ordered per there old sizing guide are a bit small, but I guess it is what it is. just wish I would of waited until they had an actual fit sheet to go off of because a tad more toe room would be nice. they are still the most comfortable boot I have ever put on my feet as of now. I only expect them to get more comfortable as time passes hopefully. all in all I feel good to be able to support a American company that makes a beautiful product and it will not be the last product I but. I would give four and a half stars if I could, just for the sizing inconsistencies, and changing the sizing guide,but I'll just leave it at 5. I love the boots. especially cause it hard to find boots that fit my work. I'm in the wireless industry climbing towers every day so a mix of a iron worker and lineman work. I think these fit the bill pretty good. I will be ordering more. thanks again jk."
“First pair of JK's“
★★★★★"My first pair of JK’s (Forefront Bison) and so far, I’m loving the result! I followed the sizing/fitting instructions, but hedged a bit since I was slightly in between on length. Went with a 10.5 3E originally, but when I initially received them, it soon became apparent that I needed to go down a 1/2 size (huge toe room). So, I went through the return/exchange process uneventfully and in about 6 more weeks received these 10 3Es. Width is perfect and the length is much better. Break-in has been a non-event…as others have posted, the bison uppers are butter soft and I felt the footbed had at least initially settled after about a week and a half of daily (all day wear). So far, I think I have oiled these twice with Bick 4…am wanting to preserve the color. Very pleased and looking forward to pair #2 (O.T Bison Smooth) arriving next month!"
“Like socks!“
★★★★★"The first three days was rough, my feet never felt arches like this before and my ankles were breaking in to the 6" height. I had to keep switching every few hours to my old boots because of the arches. But after 3 days, I was able to wear them with no arch or top of my ankle discomfort at all. I initially was blown away at how soft and stretchy the bison was. After my arches broke in, I really noticed how soft the bison is. It stretches around the ball of my ankle, flexes with every movement I make. I started breaking in a pair of 6" redwood OTs at the same time and MAN theres a big difference between breaking in the standard leather compared to no break in on bison. These forefronts are like socks with a wedge sole"
“I didn’t want to take them off once I put them on!“
★★★★★"Got these boots on Saturday and didn’t want to take them off I wore them until I had to get in bed. I wore them all day Sunday and then Monday all day at work. My feet felt so good wearing these boots I’m so happy with this purchase. I’ve had foot procedures to correct foot pain and was guided to purchasing the bison leather on my forefront build this truly was the best advice as there has been no break in they are comfortable out of the box it’s quite amazing. I’m excited that I have another pair on the way of the blood core bison bear slayers 🩸 I’m probably gonna get a third pair of a different style soon. The quality and craftsmanship are the best I’ve ever seen on a pair of footwear period John K definitely got it right. Please keep doing what you’re doing and happy birthday John K. !"

I’m a big man at 6ft 3 280 lbs. and the stability of the boot is amazing. Having a wide foot I love the wide toe box and my heel sits perfectly. My wife laughs because I just don’t want to take them off. "
